In order to develop a record of the existing condition of facilities in the district, the master planning team is conducting detailed facility assessments. These assessments will be completed and reported in a two step process.
Step One – Facility Condition Index
A team of professionals including architects, civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers, a roofing specialist, and food service designers conducted on site visual inspections to establish a facility condition index (FCI). The FCI is a ratio of the cost of deferred maintenance and additional needs divided by the cost of replacement. This index is used to determine if a facility should be renovated or replaced.
